EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF THE IN VIVO LASER-INDUCED OXYHEMOGLOBIN PHOTODISSOCIATION IN CUTANEOUS BLOOD VESSELS

ABSTRACT

The results of in vivo experimental investigation of the laser-induced photo-dissociation of oxy-hemoglobin in cutaneous blood vessels and its role in tissue oxygenation are presented. It is shown that this method of phototherapy allows to control the oxygen concentration in tissue at the necessary level. Different aspects of biomedical application of this phenomenon are discussed.
