HETEROSTRUCTURES BASED ON GRAPHENE AND MONOLAYERS OF DIELECTRIC AND SEMICONDUCTOR GRAPHENE-LIKE MATERIALS: ATOMIC STRUCTURE AND ENERGY STABILITY

ABSTRACT

A new stage in the development of thin-film electronics is the creation of vertical heterostructures, also known as Van der Waals heterostructures. This work is devoted to the search for new combinations of graphene layers and graphene-like materials with metallic, semiconductor, and dielectric properties in vertical heterostructures. Unit cells of vertical heterostructures with new combinations of graphene layers and graphene-like materials are constructed. The thermodynamic stability of the constructed configurations of heterostructures is investigated.
