ELECTRICAL STIMULATION WITH BIOFEEDBACK AND MAGNETIC SIMPATOKORREKTSIYA IN TREATMENT OF PRIMARY OPEN-ANGLE GLAUCOMA

ABSTRACT

According to the World Health Organization, open-angle glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness and visual impairment in the world. More than 100 million people worldwide suffer from glaucoma, which is at 9.1 million causes of blindness.
Objective: To increase the effectiveness of therapy in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma, by developing an integrated method of treatment using percutaneous electrical stimulation of the peripheral visual analyzer with biofeedback and magnetic simpatokorrektsii.
Conclusions. The application we developed an integrated method of treatment involving percutaneous electrical stimulation of the peripheral visual analyzer with biofeedback and magnetic simpatokorrektsiyu aimed at improving both electrophysiological and hemodynamic parameters, led to more effective therapy for patients with primary open-angle glaucoma.
