ABSTRACT

Dan Zhu received her BS in Physics from the Hubei University (1986), MS in Physical Electronics from the Central China Normal University (1992), and PhD in Physical Electronics from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), in 2001. After two years postdoctoral training at HUST, she joined as an Associate Professor in 2003 and a full Professor in 2007 in Biomedical Engineering with HUST. Currently, she is full Professor and Chair of Division of Biomedical Photonics, Wuhan National Optoelectronics Laboratory. She has authored more than 100 papers in the field of tissue optics, optical diagnosis and therapy principle and techniques. During the recent years, she has been focusing on optical clearing of tissue in vivo for improving optical imaging. She severs as the Secretary General of Biomedical Photonics Committee of Chinese Optical Society.
