LASER SPECKLE PROBE OF SCATTER MOTION IN STRATIFIED RANDOM MEDIA WITH THE IMPROVED DEPTH RESOLUTION

ABSTRACT

The results of simulation of full-field speckle probe of stratified inhomogeneous media are presented. The concept of depth resolution improvement is based on spatial filtering of backscattered speckle-modulated radiation with the use of circular apertures of various radii. Two- and three-layer multiple scattering media with different concentrations of point-like dynamic scatterers are considered as the models for simulation. The discussed approach gives the possibility of structural and functional analysis of dispersive media by means of full-field speckle correlometry with fiber-optical light delivering channels.
