MODELING OF TEMPERATURE FIELDS IN THE SKIN AND THE SUBCUTANEOUS LAYERS

ABSTRACT

The method for calculating the stationary temperature distribution in depth of the skin and subcutaneous layers (epithelium, subcutaneous fat layer, and muscle tissue), taking into account blood flow and biological sources of heat was proposed. Parameters of biological sources of heat are bound to easily measured temperature on the skin surface with account of heat exchange on the border of the skin and the environment. Founded on the basis of the proposed method of stationary temperature distribution in depth is the initial condition for the numerical calculation of non-stationary temperature fields of pulsed thermal sources with axial symmetry. The convergence to a stationary solution at long times was showed.
