REGULARITIES IN ATOMIC STRUCTURE OF NEW HYBRID CARBON FILMS OF NANOTUBES-GRAPHENE TYPE

ABSTRACT

Using an original technique we constructed the topological models of the thermodynamically stable structures of a new carbon material - a hybrid CNT- graphene film. This material is formed by a two monolayer graphene and zigzag tubes covalently bonded to the graphene sheets and located between them. For the first time it was established a mechanism for energetically favorable covalent binding of tubes and the graphene sheet. It was shown that the thermodynamically stable topological models are composites with the tubes (10,0) (12,0) (14,0) (16,0) and (18,0) at the distance between the tubes 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 hexagons.
