IN VIVO SPECTRAL STUDY OF KINETICS OF OPTICAL PROPERTIES OF HUMAN SKIN AT OPTICAL CLEARING

ABSTRACT

Results of study of optical properties kinetics of human skin in vivo during optical clearing are presented in the report. The measurements of skin reflectance spectra were performed on the inner side of forearm of 10 volunteers with age 18-19 years with USB4000-VIS-NIR (in 400-1000 nm spectral range) and QR400-7-Vis/NIR (in 900-2150 nm spectral range) spectrometers (Ocean Optics, USA). Spectra were recorded before optical clearing agent (OCA) application, and every 10 min after OCA application, during 90 min. The mixture of Omnipaque® (300 mg iodine/ml) (70%) + water (25%) + DMSO (5%) with refractive index n=1.413 was used as OCA. The obtained results allow us to estimate kinetics parameters of skin erythema, moisturization and oxygenation during optical clearing.
